What is pastoral farming ?

* Pastoral farming is commercailly rearing livestock like cattle, sheep, and goats for meat, wool, hides and various other products.

Difference between Pastoral and Arable farming ?




* The difference is that in Pastoral farming farm animals are reared.
But in Arable farming crops are grown.

Areas of pastoral farming in Argentina 

*Cattle are mostly reared in the warm and wet areas in the east, while sheep thrive well in cool and dry west.
*Beef cattle and dairy cattle are raised in the rich grassland of PAMPAS, particularly in the region around BUENOS AIRES.

SHEEP REARING

Sheep rearing is practised in the cool dry regions of foothills of the Andes and the Patagonian Plateau where the pastures are poorer with short coarse grasses.
